Everybody’s unWorking For the Weekend!
Hey ya’ll.
I’m currently on break from my duties and responsibilities as Supervisor, Recruiting Assistant and Class Factotum for NET Ministries. The new Team members, or Netters as we call them, arrived Thursday August 23rd to begin 5 weeks of training for 9 months of service.
We have spent the past week at Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp in Amery, Wisconsin training, learning, loving, and playing 9-square. For those of you not familiar with this game, it’s essentially 4-square with more squares and more brutality.
I am leading a small group of six of the men who will be serving on the road this year. This week, our focus is on putting teams together. It’s a big job that takes a lot of brain power that I sometimes don’t have. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated.
Other than that, I have no life. I took advantage of yesterday’s break to watch College Football. All Day. It was everything I thought it could be and more.
My prayer time has been pretty fruitful this past week. I’ve been meditating on the 1st 2 chapters of the letter to the Ephesians. Simple phrases have really made a profound impact on me and I hope to be able to continue the trend.
I’ll be out of touch until next weekend. Until then, keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars
