My life in a nutshell
Hey friends. Here I sit at a Starbucks at 78th and Lexington in Manhattan. It’s been a while since the last update so I’ll give you a quick rundown.
That’s the view from the Starbucks I’m sitting at. Right about now, some of the fastest long distance runners in the world are getting ready to run through Central Park, about 2 blocks away. The annual New York Marathon is this morning and the city is basically dead.
Last I checked in I was in Boston. Since then I’ve spoken at MIT, at Providence College, played Golf in York PA, Spoken with a couple of chapters of Spirit and Truth in New Jersey, hung out with one of my best friends from high school, attended a Catholic Underground in Manhattan and spent some quality time in some of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever been in.
If you get to New York, I recommend St. Patrick’s of course, but also St Jean Baptiste on 77th and Lexington, the Capuchin Friary across from Madison Square Garden and Our Lady of Good Counsel on 90th between 2nd and 3rd. They’re all very different but all very beautiful.
Things here are going well. The only bad news being my girlfriend Erica, who is serving the year in Honduras has come down with Typhoid Fever. This, I’m sure is no fun for her. I got to talk to her Saturday and she sounds like she’s in pretty good spirits considering.
Well the recruiting is over and now it’s time to kick back in the city. Look for me sometime this week I’m gonna go stand in front of Fox News and wave.

Never been to New York city, near but not there.
I wonder of that Capuchin Friary is where Father Benedict
Groeshel resides. He’s o EWTN alot and is a awesome writer
of many Catholic books. I love the man.
Always wanted to see St Patricks. Those churches really are
beautiful. Once inside you never feel like leaving. If they lit
some incense, I would’nt.

That sounds awesome. Well, the places you’ve been part is awesome. The Typhoid Fever sounds crappy. I did though appreciate the description up at the NET center explaining what Typhoid fever was. Have fun in the city, i bet you are excited to get back to the wild and wonderful Twin Cities.
