Ooo baby baby it’s a wild world…
Today we turn to college football…
What the heck is going on?? There has been at least one upset every week since the season began a little over a month ago.
But this past weekend was the motherload.
Who I thought would be the “real” teams this year are falling by the wayside. Before this weekend, my top 5 were LSU, Oklahoma, Florida, West Virginia and Souther Cal. Now things look dramatically different.
Let’s just look at the top 5…
USC squeaks one out against Washington. (My claim that USC is a fradulent team still stands)
LSU pulled off a 2nd half victory over Tulane, Oklahoma gets beat by Colorado?? (In case you forgot, FSU has already beaten Colorad0… I’m just sayin)
Florida gets beat by Auburn and West Virginia gets beat by South Florida. (How USF jumped from 18th to 6th in the nation is beyond me)
My point is simple… this season is already a wash. While it’s making for VERY exciting football, it just proves that this year, nobody is really that good… or maybe everyone is.
Some people have called this, “the year of the underdog”. I say no. This season, there are no underdogs. All bets are off.
Who knows, maybe FSU can pull a USF and catipult themselves back into the top ten. That is, if anyone we play is left there.
Peace.

I agree that USC is fraudulent.
I hope for more upsets because then maybe Texas can get into a bcs game, they seem to be bad this year.
Really I just hope that 3 teams end up undefeated and the BCS gets all screwed up. Don’t get me wrong I’d feel bad for the team that misses out, but I’m all for a playoff.

“I don’t ever remember this many highly ranked teams going down”
Chris Fowler of ESPN GameDay was right…
Also agree on USC. They play who? Sisters of Mercy, Bedrock St.
Gimme a break.
You make a good point Mike. Is everyone that good or not as good
as we were told they were. For sure there are no experts!!!
One thing for certain. Pre season magazines are totally mindless.
Their all guessing….like us.
You can’t go by last season. Tradition never won the Lotto!
The great thing about the ‘07 season is there’s plenty of “toe to leather” left.
Xavier was plain awesome. This after FSU coaches told the world
that “Lee is not ready”. Well he won the Indy 500 this past
weekend. Coaches did same thing a few years back with Wyatt Sexton. He’s not ready, blah blah blah. Wyatt came in and played
like a pro.
The confidence level of Seminole Nation nearly went through the
roof with the win over Bama. The team jelled big time. Fans too.
The players know they have what it takes to win.
I like our chances. BC now looks beatable. If Lee progress’s as
we expect him too, I like our chances vs the Canes and Gators.
Its a crazy season indeed but the one that flys over the cuckoo’s
nest just might be Florida State.
