Why I love Tiffany Green
Greetings friends! Today I’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you all to a very special lady. Miss Tiffany Green.
Tiffany or Tiffy G or Captain Captain or Dirty Tiff or… well she just has too many aliases to list here. Tiffany is what one would call a “friend.” By friend, I mean she is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. The girl is humble, talented beyond belief, and more beautiful then she will ever recognize. Right now, she just stopped reading this blog because she can’t stand to be complemented or take credit for the good that everyone sees in her.
Tiffany and I are accidental friends. We had a mutual friend in college who, shortly after she introduced Tiffany and I, went completely loco in the coco and has never been heard from since. After months of Instant Messaging back and forth, we met at the Border’s at Magnolia and the Parkway in Tallahassee.
Border’s is one of those ideal places where you meet people for the first time. It provides a safe environment with plenty of warm bodies around in case the person you’re meeting is a psychopath, and it possess the added bonus that if the person you end up meeting turns out to be a lame-o you can quickly excuse yourself to get back to a busy schedule of perusing Ken Burn’s collection of letters from Captain Nathaniel Coombs Pennyfort’s to his beloved Penelope.
But I digress…
Tiffany and I have kept up a rather successful friendship in spite of the fact that we only get to see each other once or twice a year. Add that to my top five reasons why to love The Rockboat.
Hearing about a day in the life of Tiffany Green is like constantly refreshing Perez Hilton and having a new set of craziness with each page refresh. She is THAT cool.
Because of Tiffany, I am musically awesome. Not that I sound or play well… I just know good music. The girl has got taste yo!
She’s directly responsible for my discovery of:
DRH, Will Hoge, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, Marc Broussard, Cary Judd, Phantom Planet, Clay Cook and that’s just the beginning.
Because of her, I get to say “I knew them before they were Harder to breathe, Chariot, Home, California stars.
If you don’t know Tiffany, you should. If you do know Tiffany, may I be the first to welcome you to the awesome party. Pull up a couch and pop open a Zima.
