Hello Friends-

It’s been a crazy week up here in Minnesota. We’ve had warm weather that has now decided to cool off, the Cubs are in 1st Place, and more importantly, the NET Teams are finishing up training. This past weekend, the Home Team put on a Confirmation retreat for local high schoolers. It was a long but rewarding weekend.

Men in Kilts

So yesterday I spent the day at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in Chaska, MN. If you’ve never been to Chaska, you’re missing the town voted “8th best place to live in America.” After being in Chaska for a mere 2 minutes, I’m pretty sure that was voted upon by the Chaska Chamber of Commerce.

Everybody’s unWorking For the Weekend!

I’m currently on break from my duties and responsibilities as Supervisor, Recruiting Assistant and Class Factotum for NET Ministries. The new Team members, or Netters as we call them, arrived Thursday August 23rd to begin 5 weeks of training for 9 months of service.

Yesterday was one of the strangest days in sports history.

I should have known something was up when College Gameday came on. All they could talk about was how silly it was these big powerhouse schools were playing cupcake opponents. Apparently some of those cupcakes were a little harder to chew than some thought. (more…)
