Honduras. Part 3

Hola mi amigos.

So my first day went something like this.

I woke up to what sounded like an angry mob in the courtyard/basketball court outside the apartment I’m staying at. Come to find out it was simply a large group from El Savidor who are here for a Crisio Convention. I slept in all the way until 7AM which is almost mid-morning for the Missioners. I met Erica and we headed to Mass at the local Parish which is on the same block where we live. The priest apparently gave a very entertaining homily… although I wasn’t sure what he was talking about until Erica told me later. Luckily she’d given me a handy “English to Spanish” guide for the Mass so I was able to participate.

Honduras. Part 2
Category: Travel and Places

As I stepped off the plane I thought to myself, I wonder what I’ll eat for lunch. I’m in Honduras, I might as well ring it in with a great Honduran meal to start the week. I’ll eat whatever I see first. I walked through the door to the terminal and there it was… Wendy’s.

Hey friends. The funniest thing just happened…

After a weekend of Whitewater rafting in Georgia and Tennessee, and an amazing Mission Staff Retreat at 3 Crosses in Cannon Falls, MN I packed up and headed to Chicago to see my girlfriend Erica. For those of you new to the blog or for those who have been living under a rock, Erica, my girlfriend has been serving with the Missioners of Christ in Honduras for the past year. Wednesday was the first I had seen her since January.

So I spent the past week on one of the greatest road trips of my life. Anna, Joe, Chad, Vito, Kathy, BP and I (all current employees of NET… except for BP who has lifetime employee status) headed to Sandusky, Ohio to visit the glory that is Cedar Point.

Hey Friends-

Just a quick note to say hey. I am currently standing on the edge of a very large, very figurative cliff. In fact, my toes are dangling off.

As you’ve seen in previous posts, my life is about to get a little crazy. I can’t believe how fast things are coming. In addition to the big things coming, a few smaller yet very fun activities are at hand.

Hey friends. Just a quick check in here.

Check in you say? No, actually I said it. Today’s delve into bloggitude deals with one of the world’s great luxuries and pains… Air Travel.

I’m on a plane right now heading from Memphis to St Paul… Memphis being one of 2 exotic locations provided by the Tallahassee Regional Airport. Today should have been an easy day of travel except I forgot one single factor of air travel that I should take into account before venturing out of the house… I am an idiot.

SUMMERTIME!

That’s right kids! The snow is melting and the sun is getting hotter. Soon we’ll be busting out the board shorts and getting the sand all up in your toe-cracks.

Baseball, Beaches, Barefeet, and Barbecues. MAN I love the summer!

But my friends, this year is looking a little… what’s the word. Hectic? Here’s the breakdown:

Ladies and Gentlemen, the thaw has begun.

St Paul, MN has finally broken out of below freezing. When I got the inspiration to write this blog, we had yet to break out of below zero. Let me share some thoughts.

Why I love Tiffany Green

Greetings friends! Today I’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you all to a very special lady. Miss Tiffany Green.

Tiffany or Tiffy G or Captain Captain or Dirty Tiff or… well she just has too many aliases to list here. Tiffany is what one would call a “friend.” By friend, I mean she is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. The girl is humble, talented beyond belief, and more beautiful then she will ever recognize. Right now, she just stopped reading this blog because she can’t stand to be complemented or take credit for the good that everyone sees in her.
